What is arbitrage botting in sports betting?
Why human arbers are not the problem
A sharp human finds a few opportunities a day. A bot finds every stale price on every market you post. The volume asymmetry is total: your trading desk updates lines on human timescales, while arbers operate on machine timescales.
How the accounts stay hidden
Arb fleets run through networks of verified accounts - bought, rented, or farmed. Each account bets modestly and loses convincingly on the wrong side at other books. Account-level review sees nothing; the profit only exists in the cross-book aggregate.
Defense that matches the speed
Line movement alone cannot outrun automation. What works is scoring the betting session itself: timing from price-post to stake, device and environment fingerprints, behavioral history. Bots beat the price; they should not beat the door.
